The PLA4231 is powered with 500Mbps Powerline and 300Mbps Wi-Fi technology. The innovative device can extend an existing wireless network throughout the home or small office via an easy to use, Powerline connection.
The PLA4231 plugs into any power outlet to instantly extend an existing high-definition Powerline network, while simultaneously offering wireless connectivity in the home or small office. The device's two Ethernet ports make it easy to provide Internet access for HDTVs, Blu-ray™ players, DVRs, PCs, and game consoles. This dual functionality enables the connected home family to stream videos, play games and explore the Internet on tablets, laptops or smartphones anywhere at home, even in hard-to-reach places.

ZyXEL's PLA4231 boasts advanced Quality of Service features to improve the streaming quality of multimedia applications. A setup wizard and a WPS button allow users to set up the device and connect to wireless devices easily and quickly. A 128-bit Advanced Encryption Security secures Powerline communication and the latest WPA2 standard offers security for Wi-Fi traffic.
The PLA4231 is currently available from all major e-commerce sites and ZyXEL partners. The MSRP for the device is $90.
