Raptor Gaming Technology GmbH, daughter company of
Raptor Technology AG (ISIN: CH0100475216; Austrian Code: RAP;
WKN: A0RLJU) opens successfully a new branch in Taipei, Taiwan.
The Asia-Pacific-Region is currently the booming spot for the gaming
industry. In 2007 the Asia-Pacific-Region generated revenues of nearly USD
15 billion. This number should grow till 2012 to nearly USD 25 billion.
Based on researches by leading analysts the total number Online PC-Gamer in
the Asia-Pacific-Region is in the range of 110 Mio. Gamer as of today.
China is in the lead with close to 50 Mio. Online PC-Gamer, followed by
Japan with close to 30 Mio. Online PC-Gamer. Korea with up to 17 Mio.
Online PC-Gamer and Taiwan with close to 10 Mio. Online PC-Gamer complete
the top 4 markets in the Asia-Pacific-Region.
In order to fully utilize the opportunities of this booming region, a local
sales&marketing organisation as well as a local logistics infrastructure
is absolutely necessary. The new branch will be managed by Todd Lawrence.
Mr. Lawrence is active in Taiwan in various entrepreneur development and
sales projects since 1995. He is very well connected with customers on
site. Together with two sales employees he will drive the RAPTOR-GAMING
business in Taiwan, Japan and Korea.
First contracts with customers are expected before the end of the summer
2010.
Managed by Rebecca Hsiung the new sales and marketing office in Hong Kong
is also already operating. Mrs. Hsiung used to work for leading
manufacturers in Asia incl. in the input peripherals industry. At the
moment Mrs. Hsiung is focused on increasing the brand awareness of
RAPTOR-GAMING in China and Hong Kong. Cooperations with big community-sites
and print magazines are currently under negotiation. Also cooperations with
game publishers and game portals for recommendation of RAPTOR-GAMING
products are under preparation.
First contracts with customers are expected before the start of the
Christmas business 2010.
