New Director Appointment
28 June 2010 - LONDON: European Nickel PLC ("European Nickel" or the "Company")
(AIM, PLUS, ASX: ENK) is pleased to announce the immediate appointment of Neil
Herbert to the Board as an independent non-executive director.
Neil Herbert is currently the Executive Co-Chairman and Managing Director of
Polo Resources Ltd (AIM, TSX: POL) ("Polo Resources"), the mining and
exploration group focused on investing in or acquiring and developing advanced
stage coal and uranium projects. Prior to joining Polo Resources in May 2008,
he has held a number of senior executive roles, including Finance Director for
UraMin Inc, until its acquisition by Areva NC for US$2.5 billion and Group
Financial Controller for Antofagasta Plc. Mr Herbert has over 20 years
experience in finance and has worked in the management of mining and exploration
companies for over 12 years. He is a Fellow of the Associated Chartered
Certified Accountants.
Commenting on the appointment, Simon Purkiss, Deputy Executive Chairman, said "I

extensive experience working for listed companies will bolster the Board and
provide invaluable advice as we progress European Nickel towards our ultimate
aim of being mid-tier nickel laterite producer."
