Ahold share buyback update

Amsterdam, the Netherlands, June 28, 2010 - Ahold has repurchased 1,683,233
Ahold common shares in the period from June, 21, 2010 up to and including June,
25, 2010. The shares were repurchased at an average price of ? 10.4602 per share
for a total consideration of ? 17.61 million. These repurchases were made as
part of the ? 500 million share buyback program announced on March 4, 2010.
The total number of shares repurchased under this program to date is 11,392,819
common shares for a total consideration of ? 116.8 million.
