Hilden, June 29, 2010 - MEDISANA AG (WKN: 549254) published a new forecast
for the 2010 financial year at its Annual General Meeting in Düsseldorf.
After recently reporting revenue growth of 74% to EUR 13.7 million in the
first quarter, the Management Board now anticipates revenues of around EUR
50 million for full-year 2010. Year-on-year growth looks set to be down in
the ongoing second quarter, while strong business performance is forecast
for the second half-year 2010.
The Hilden-based home-health-care specialist is therefore expected to post
record revenues for the fourth consecutive time, following 21% growth to
EUR 36.6 million last year. In spite of significant preliminary outlay on
new product development and marketing and the depreciation of the euro, the
Management Board remains confident of achieving a significantly improved
result.
In addition to sustained high order intake, the new subsidiaries Gimelli
Laboratories Co. Ltd., Hong Kong and China, as well as Royal Appliance
España, S.L., based in Madrid, Spain, will also make a major contribution
to the company's success this year.
