This merger allows Autumn Tree to expand its footprint in the Midwest where currently it has branches operating in Barrington, Northbrook and Warrenville, IL. "The people of Chicagoland are passionate about the care of their trees and we're excited to build on our presence in the area by partnering with a quality, established organization like Glenwood Tree Experts," said Daniel van Starrenburg, President of SavATree.
Founded in 1971 by Jim Seckelmann, Glenwood Tree Experts started small and grew to become one of the top tree care providers on Chicago's North Shore. In 2000, Jim opened The Mulch Center in order to recycle and reuse wood from their tree operations. In 2012, with the addition of a 10 acre manufacturing site in North Chicago, they were able to recycle over 200,000 yards of wood debris. Currently they manufacture 12 different varieties of mulch and soil-related products. "Merging with SavATree will increase our abilities to maintain a high level of service and recycling of wood products for our tree care customers while continuing to grow our Mulch Center operations.
