London, 2 Juli 2010, London Hong Kong Exchange Plc (“LHKX”) is pleased to announce that BankM - Representative of biw Bank für Investments und Wertpapiere AG will support the shares of LHKX as Designated Sponsor on the electronic trading platform Xetra® of Deutsche Boerse AG. Designated sponsors provide additional liquidity and support the trading on Xetra® by offering binding prices for the bid and ask side (known as quotes) and are responsible for alleviating any imbalances between supply and demand. Through BankM’s services it is ensured that the LHKX shares will be continuously tradable on Xetra, resulting in increased attractiveness of the LHKX shares for international and institutional investors.
