Reiner Hirschberg is a new Managing Director of fidis GmbH /

Reiner Hirschberg (50) has been promoted to Managing Director of fidis GmbH. With the firm’s founder Otto Johannsen (51) he now makes up the duo in charge of this leading supplier of banking software based on SAP. Hirschberg will in future be responsible for the Development, Testing and Quality Management and Technology divisions. The mathematics and IT graduate has been working at fidis as Head of Business Development since 2010.
Hirschberg has 20 years of experience in the IT sector. He is a co-founder of usedSoft AG and there he was responsible for Technology and Legal for six years. Before that he worked as the CIO with power of attorney for FWU AG, one of the leading financial services companies with systems solutions in the field of investment.
“Complex financial instruments such as ABSs and factoring are becoming more and more popular. At the same time, competitive pressure is growing among the service providers”, explains Reiner Hirschberg. “With our combination of technical expertise and thorough knowledge of the financial sector we are in a position to offer banks, savings banks and factoring companies IT tools with which they can increase their competitiveness.”
With ABS.pilot® and Fact.pilot®, fidis is offering IT solutions for the automation of factoring and ABS processes. This allows tens of thousands of documents to be processed in a closed accounting system in the shortest possible time and with a secure audit trail. This makes business with medium and small company clients in particular more secure and efficient.
With its new factoring portal, fidis is now also offering an opportunity to access all documents and information relevant to the factoring process at any time, up to date and entirely on line. This spares institutions the effort of sending documents to their clients and answering their queries. “It is our aim to make the processes of complex financial instruments ever easier and to automate them as far as possible”, says Hirschberg. “To this end we are constantly expanding our services and our product range.”
