Startup Debut at SXSW(R) Features Indiegogo Crowdfunding Pavilion, 20 Startups & Sarah Austin Bubble Tank
(firmenpresse) - AUSTIN, TX -- (Marketwire) -- 03/06/13 -- Indiegogo, one of the world's largest crowdfunding platforms, will host a pavilion showcasing six companies whose product development was funded on the Indiegogo platform at the second annual Startup Debut at SXSW® () on Sunday night, March 10, from 6-9 pm at Fleming's Prime Steakhouse and Wine Bar, 320 E. 2nd St., Austin, TX (directly across from the Austin Convention Center).
Startup Debut will also showcase more than a dozen other companies, including Appgyver (), Helsinki and San Francisco; Akimbo Card (), Austin, TX; CHNL (), Santa Monica, CA; Equilibrium (), Sausalito, CA; Kraftwurx (), Houston, TX; Shindig (), New York; WeVideo, Palo Alto, CA; and WhoTune, Brisbane, Australia.
Indiegogo, based in New York, will demo its service and programs, along with the following companies that raised money on its platform: StickNFind, Davie, FL ($931,970); Misfit Shine, San Francisco ($846,438); Interexon MUSE, Toronto ($287,472); Stratus by Zuvo Water, Reno, NV ($42,985), TrashAmps, Sunnyvale, CA ($17,076), and Tulum, Austin, TX, which has an active campaign which will end this Friday and is within $1,000 of its $15,000 goal.
The media showcase event, featuring four-star food and premium wine, is limited to exhibitors and to approved media and bloggers at the SXSW, as well as a limited number of top-tier investors. Leading into Startup Debut will be a Sarah Austin Bubble Tank (as featured on Bravo TV's Start-Ups Silicon Valley), from 4:30 to 6 pm by exclusive invite only.
For tech journalists and bloggers who cannot make it to Austin, Shindig will feature a 90-minute video chat by participating startup entrepreneurs, followed by a brief Q & A from the online audience, beginning at 4:30 pm CDT (2:30 pm PDT/5:30 EDT). Startup Debut has been serving the needs of innovative digital and startup companies and the media since January, 2010. It has now grown to five annual shows, and has debuted more than 125 startups to relevant national and international media.
