EVRY brings forward its new HQ and reduces cost-base
(Thomson Reuters ONE) -
(Oslo, 12 March 2013) EVRY ASA has decided to bring forward the company's move
to its new headquarters at Fornebu so that the move will now start in summer
2013. This is six months earlier than originally planned. EVRY has entered into
a good agreement with Orkla ASA for the sublease of its current head office
premises at Nedre Skøyen vei 26 in Oslo.
The first move of EVRY employees to the company's new headquarters at
Snarøyveien 30 in Fornebu will take place in July 2013.
"Part of our new headquarters premises will be ready as early as 1 July 2013.
Since we have achieved a good sublease agreement for Nedre Skøyen vei 26, we are
bringing forward the entire process of moving to our new headquarters", explains
Terje Mjøs, CEO of EVRY.
The agreement provides for Orkla to take over the major part of the premises at
Nedre Skøyen vei 26 in summer 2013. Over 500 EVRY employees will move to the
company's new headquarters at Fornebu over the course of July 2013. The other
employees who are located at Nedre Skøyen vei 26, around 500, will be relocated
to the company's various other locations in Oslo until the rest of the new
headquarters is ready for occupation on 1 January 2014.
EVRY estimates that the financial effect of moving to the new headquarters,
combined with the sublease agreement, will be an annual cost saving starting
from 2014 of NOK 35 million compared to the cost level in 2013.
"I am very pleased that we have been able to bring forward both the move to our
new headquarters with new ways of working and interaction, and to bring together
major parts of our organisation at Fornebu earlier than we had originally
planned. This is an important step towards realising our strategy", comments
Terje Mjøs, CEO of EVRY.
