VOLstate.net Deploys Zhone MXK for GPON Services
Zhone strengthens FTTx industry presence in the southeast
Oakland, CA - March 12, 2013 - Zhone Technologies, Inc. (NASDAQ: ZHNE), a global
pioneer in FTTx network access solutions, today announced a new MXK(TM) multi-
service access node (MSAN) system deployment with VOLstate.net, an ISP providing
voice and data services to business customers in Dayton, Tenn. Through
leveraging Zhone's industry leading MXK, VOLstate.net built a new Gigabit
Passive Optical Network (GPON) to support high-speed Internet, hosted PBX and
VoIP services to its current footprint of 500 business subscribers.
Founded in 1996, VOLstate.net currently offers business customers a wide range
of Internet solutions such as DataStash online backup services and RevTel hosted
PBX services. The company distinguishes itself from other ISP companies by
owning and operating its own network. With well-planned and managed resources,
VOLstate.net is able to provide its customers with outstanding value for their
money. VOLstate.net's decision to deploy GPON comes from the need of its
