Orange County Business Council Commends Release of Draft Bay Delta Conservation Plan

(firmenpresse) - IRVINE, CA -- (Marketwire) -- 03/14/13 -- Orange County Business Council released the following statement today from President and CEO Lucy Dunn in response to the state's release of new draft chapters of the Bay Delta Conservation Plan:

"A reliable water supply is essential to California's and Orange County's economy. Southern California water deliveries continue to suffer cutbacks due to conflicts with endangered species in the Sacramento-San Joaquin Delta and remain at risk of long-term interruptions from seismic threats. The release of the administrative draft of the Bay Delta Conservation Plan is an important step in constructing a permanent solution for these ongoing challenges with our water supply. OCBC commends Governor Brown for thoughtfully pressing forward toward resolution of California's most fundamental issue curtailing environmental and economic progress."
