The Future for Personal Injury and Michael Jefferies Ingredients for Legal Business Success

(firmenpresse) - MANCHESTER, UNITED KINGDOM -- (Marketwire) -- 03/21/13 -- Jefferies Solicitors, the , MD, Michael Jefferies has revealed in a recent interview that passion shared by himself and his staff has kept his business thriving in a potentially difficult time for the legal sector.

His take on passion is not just about earning money it is about providing harmonious systems in process-driven organisations, maintaining an eye for detail and having the right management team.

Michael believes universally that all process-oriented companies require particular skills from people and coins the phrase: 'Finders, minders, grinders'. He says staff need to enjoy what they are doing which in turn, inspires passion and production.

We have people working with us who are responsible for specific aspects of the business. Sales staff have links with roadside recovery companies who we get referrals from and a separate department exists for new lead generation. This structure is an example of how separating the business development side of the business with the legal function is critical to success.

Good communication

Michael says it is important to know what clients want and he is unswerving in his view on this: people want 'no win no fee'; they want a quick turn around and they want to be communicated with effectively by their personal injury team.

Good communication skills are not always abundant in law firms and this can impact on their business.

Acquiring new business

When it comes to winning new clients the MD says referrals form a large part and many originate from both success stories and customer experiences. He adds that because the staff are so people focused and responsive, former clients want to tell others about the service.

The firm also utilises lead generation fed by a combination of advertising and internet presence which has recently been added to in the form of a Polish translated website.

Forthcoming Changes In Personal Injury Legislation

Michael uses his overall philosophy on change when considering the recent news on referral fees. He says that change in business is inevitable and you have to embrace it and be versatile to be successful.

He believes that there will be no loop holes available for law firms wishing to offer to pay for referral fees in an attempt to combat the new laws. If they try it they will have to face stringent measures taken by the Solicitors Regulation Authority. Their actions will also be observed by rival firms unafraid of whistle-blowing.

The personal injury legal expert advises claims management companies who form law firms in response to the changes need to be prepared to wait sometimes up to 2 years for fees to be paid whilst still having to maintain their business.

Jefferies Charity work

People obviously feature in Jefferies' philanthropic projects, many of which have included raising money for leading Brain Injury Charity, Headway UK, and The Children's Adventure Farm Trust (CAFT).

Michael says it is important to give something back to the community. He adds: "Our team are very dedicated to their causes and I am delighted with their efforts."
