Children Take Proactive Approach With Earth-Friendly Fun
(firmenpresse) - KING OF PRUSSIA, PA -- (Marketwire) -- 04/01/13 -- On Earth Day, April 22, children at Goddard Schools nationwide will turn off all nonessential lighting for one hour, kicking off a week-long "Root for Earth" celebration focused on a variety of hands-on learning activities including nature walks, gardening and recycling.
"Learning about the environment is a captivating way to teach children nurturing skills, introduce them to healthy foods and help them understand the needs of living things. 'Root for Earth' symbolizes our commitment to work together to protect the environment," said Sue Adair, director of education for Goddard Systems, Inc. "Goddard Schools have taken a proactive approach for years, encouraging children to learn about environmental conservation. We believe that teaching children to care for the earth at a young age will help them to continue to do so throughout their lives and create a better world for themselves and generations to follow."
