DEGERenergie expands its product range: DEGERtraker 6000NT for high wind loads
Horb a.N., August 05, 2010. DEGERenergie expands its product range. The new DEGERtraker 6000NT model is suitable both for installation on buildings and for use in open spaces. With more than 30,000 installed systems, DEGERenergie is the world market leader for solar tracking systems.
DEGERenergie expands its product range: DEGERtraker 6000NT for high wind loads(firmenpresse) - The DEGERtraker 6000NT is based on the HD (Heavy Duty) structure of the DEGERtraker 5000HD. The new model is designed for a module area of up to 53 square meters and can be used as standard even under strong wind conditions, thanks to its sturdy construction. Tracking takes place on the basis of MLD (Maximum Light Detection) technology developed by DEGERenergie using the patented DEGERconecter control module. This technology has been proven to produce up to 46 percent more yield in comparison to fixed photovoltaic installations.
Artur Deger, managing director of DEGERenergie: "We are currently experiencing a situation where wind loads are increasing even in regions that until now recorded more moderate weather conditions. For this reason, we have developed our new models - the DEGERtraker 6000NT and the 9000 NT - based on the HD structure, designed specifically for high loads." An essential advantage compared to the 5000HD model is the larger module area with which the new model can be equipped, explains Artur Deger: "With the 6000NT, we can offer operators in many regions the opportunity to achieve a considerably more favorable cost structure than with our smaller dimensioned models."
The new twin-axle model is available with mast lengths between 4 and 5,5 meters and is designed for installation on buildings and in open spaces - such as solar parks. Depending on module type, the yield for systems using the DEGERtraker 6000NT lies between 4 and 7 kWp. The system itself has an annual consumption of only 9 kWh. The system can be configured for a maximum wind load of up to 190 mph.
The DEGERtraker 6000NT will be available from September 2010.
