Security & Sound Design Provides Service to Protect Kids' Safety Online and Monitor Device Time

With the over abundance of televisions, , personal computers and games, it seems impossible to get away sometimes. Security & Sound Design wants to help parents monitor and control the amount of time kids spend in front of media devices.

Device control is easy to use. Users control their TV and video game consoles with a touch screen password. They can set the amount of media device time that is appropriate for each user on each device. It can even set a time on a specific game. It is also possible to lock systems for a day or for specific days.
When the user enters the password, the media devices are enabled and the countdown timer starts. An announcement happens when there 10 minutes left so kids have time to save their game's progress. After the timer goes off the device or devices are turned off. A password must be entered to start it again.
Cowser adds, "You may even want to consider putting in a home theater as a reward for your kids. I know it seems contradictory, but making TV time a special event, like a night at the movies, which is scheduled for a certain time, it is more like a reward than an everyday habit."
Using device control for home technology has many benefits. It also can monitor nannies and babysitters to ensure they don't rely on television for entertainment. In addition, limiting the time your children are leading a sedentary lifestyle can prevent disease like childhood obesity and diabetes.
