GHENT, Belgium, 17 April 2013 - Ablynx [Euronext Brussels: ABLX] today
announced, in accordance with Article 14 of the Belgian Law of 2 May 2007
regarding the publication of major shareholdings in issuers whose securities are
admitted to trading on a regulated market (the "Transparency Law"), that it
received a notification of shareholdings from KBC Asset Management NV.
KBC Asset Management NV notified that they have exceeded the 3% threshold and
now hold 1,472,009 Ablynx shares, which represent 3.03% of the current
48,505,516 outstanding shares of Ablynx.
