Labhart Miles Celebrates 10th Anniversary by Donating to Local Charity
(firmenpresse) - SAN JOSE, CA -- (Marketwired) -- 04/23/13 -- Silicon Valley-based firm Labhart Miles Consulting Group, Inc. presented Good Karma Bikes (GKB) with a $1,000 check in March. This donation was the tenth installment of Labhart Miles' $10,000 Charity Initiative, which ran through March 28, 2013. A new charity was selected to receive a gift throughout the past year in honor of the firm's 10th anniversary.
"Our organization is delighted by the donation from Labhart Miles," said James T. Gardner, Executive Director at Good Karma Bikes. "This donation will sponsor a fully functional workstation for our bicycle repairs, rehabilitations and student work areas. The work station will be used by people in transitionary employment in homeless recovery."
GKB provides homeless and low income working people with safe, reliable bicycle transportation, providing them the freedom and ability to travel to the places, appointments and people that can facilitate their improved quality of life. The organization also teaches bicycle mechanic skills to those interested in learning.
"The point of our $10,000 Charity Initiative is to provide assistance to organizations in our community providing valuable assistance to less fortunate families and individuals," said Monika Miles, President of Labhart Miles. "We're happy that our contribution will benefit a non-profit that provides low income individuals and families with the transportation that makes getting around just a little easier. The mission of this organization is exactly what we were looking for as we searched for worthy causes in our community."
Labhart Miles selected charities in a variety of services. In addition to non-profits that are near and dear to the principals' hearts, they looked for causes that provide valuable services to the greater community and where their contributions can make a difference.
