Plus.de operates web portal from the Pironet NDH business cloud
(PresseBox) - Tengelmann E-Commerce GmbH, a subsidiary of the well-known German food company, will now be operating its e-commerce shop Plus.de (owned by the subsidiary Plus Online GmbH) from the Pironet NDH business cloud. The online shop Plus.de offers more than 25,000 products, including house wares, home and garden, DIY and hobby products. Goods range from frying pans to ultra-light airplanes. Services range from a photo lab and floral services to travel agency, cellular services and dental insurance.
The technical operation of the portal in the Pironet NDH Datacenter business cloud is mainly carried out based on Intershop Enfinity and Oracle and is supplemented by a recommendation engine, which proactively provides purchase recommendations based on specific user behavior.
"The reliable protection of customer data, high portal efficiency levels during peak times and the supplemental operation of special applications (product recommendation engine) were the main requirements for our cloud solution", comments Christian Winter, Managing Director of Tengelmann E-Commerce GmbH.
