Maxim Group LLC Expands Equity Research Department With the Appointment of a Senior Renewable Energy Analyst

Mr. Ries' appointment is part of an ongoing expansion of Maxim Group's Equity Research Division. "The addition of Dan, a well-respected analyst with a large institutional following, supports our growth initiatives in verticals where we have demonstrable expertise," said Anthony V. Prior to joining Maxim Group, Mr. Ries served as a Managing Director with Collins Stewart for five years covering the renewable energy sector. He has been an equity research analyst since 1994, having followed the computer, ecommerce, semiconductor and mobile phone industries over that span. He was honored in the 2010 Wall Street Journal's "Best on the Street Survey" and Forbes "Best Brokerage Analysts" for his stock picking in the alternative energy sector. He has also contributed to several Barron's Magazine articles on the renewable energy sector over the past four years, and has been frequently quoted by Barrons.com and Bloomberg on issues surrounding the renewable energy industry. Mr. Ries holds a B.S. in Civil Engineering from Lafayette College and an M.B.A. from NYU's Stern School of Business.
