Bionano to License Patented Proprietary Technology for Heat Syncing in LED lights
September 22, 2010 Bionano (49B.F), provider of world-class sustainable energy technology products, services, processes, and deployment solutions, announced today that it will license patented proprietary technology for LED lights. The technology dissipates heat from the driver and chip, main points of failure in LED lighting products.
Heat is a natural enemy of LED lights. Through this technology, heat is dissipated so quickly and efficiently, lights’ performance, efficiency, and life span are significantly increased. Initial installations are outperforming competition. Initial tests improved the life span of LED products 2-3 times over traditional LED technology. The lights had performed extremely efficiently, producing a significantly high amount of lumens per watt. These tests also demonstrate the availability of other uses for this technology.
