Vitesse VeriTime Technology Enables Huawei Cloud RAN Trials With China Mobile

According to Dr. Chih-Lin I, chief scientist at the China Mobile Research Institute (CMRI) in Beijing, C-RAN technology is expected to significantly reduce capex and opex for service providers looking to achieve high capacity, power-efficient and cost-effective wireless networks. Other C-RAN benefits demonstrated by the CMRI studies include lower energy consumption, simpler system rollout, and superior service levels to users. As in networks, highly accurate timing synchronization is crucial to the stability and proper operation of C-RAN networks.
