GEA receives several large orders
Düsseldorf, May 7, 2013 - GEA Group recently received three large orders
worth about EUR 90 million. Glanbia, the international nutritional
solutions and cheese group, ordered a milk powder plant worth about EUR 50
Million to be built in Ireland. This new powder plant for whole, skim and
enriched milk will exclusively utilize GEA process technology and comprises
the process steps milk reception, standardization, evaporation, drying,
powder transport and packaging. Furthermore, in a still challenging
business environment GEA Heat Exchangers won two orders worth about EUR 40
Million for cooling-systems for power plants to be built in China.
'These recent large orders suggest that demand is continuing on a stable
level. Our customers obviously trust the quality and efficiency of our
process technology solutions. In our Segment GEA Heat Exchangers, we now
seem to be harvesting the benefits of earlier restructuring efforts which
helped our competitiveness', observed Jürg Oleas, CEO of GEA Group
