(firmenpresse) - PHILADELPHIA, PA -- (Marketwired) -- 05/09/13 -- . The summer season in Philadelphia and Camden includes hundreds of events happening at venues from the Great Plaza at Penn's Landing to Campbell's Field.

The 2013 Summer Program of FREE Events at Penn's Landing and the Race Street Pier is funded and produced by the Delaware River Waterfront Corporation (DRWC). Other events that round out the summer season on the river are produced by a variety of organizational partners and attractions including Cooper's Ferry Partnership, Live Nation, and the Adventure Aquarium. - Saturday and Sunday, May 11 - 12, 11AM - 6PM, at the Great Plaza at Penn's Landing. An outdoor retail arts and crafts show organized and juried by Philadelphia's Art Star Gallery and Boutique.

- Saturdays and Sundays, May 25 - September 8, 12 - 8 PM, at the Marina at Penn's Landing. Kayak and swan boat rentals for those seeking outdoor activities.

- Series of annual events that has celebrated Philadelphia's diverse culture for over 15 years at the Great Plaza at Penn's Landing. The Multicultural Series consists of the following celebrations: Irish Festival, Islamic Heritage Festival, Finns and Swedes in America Since 1638 Festival, Portuguese Heritage Festival, Hispanic Fiesta, ACANA Festival, Southeast Asian Dragon Boat Festival, Festival of India, Caribbean Festival, and the Mexican Independence Day Festival.

- Thursday, June 27, 3 - 8PM, at the Great Plaza at Penn's Landing. Hosted by POWER 99, this event is a party that brings national artists together with community resources and speakers to promote a peaceful summer season.





- June 29 - July 7, at the Great Plaza at Penn's Landing. The week's events include the Super Scooper "All-You-Can-Eat" Ice Cream Festival, the Philadelphia Orchestra FREE 2013 Neighborhood Concert, Wawa Welcome America! Taste of Philadelphia, and Taste of Philadelphia Concert and Fireworks presented by Adventure Aquarium.

- Thursdays in July and August (except for July 4), film begins at dusk, approximately 8 PM in July and 8:30PM in August, at the Great Plaza at Penn's Landing. Movies include: The Dark Knight Rises, Silver Linings Playbook, Wreck-it Ralph, The Avengers, The Hunger Games, The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey, Pitch Perfect, and Dr. Seuss' The Lorax.

- Fridays in August, 7:30 PM concert, 9:15 PM land-side fireworks, at the Great Plaza at Penn's Landing. Nationally-renowned talent includes Alex Bugnon, Najee, Peter White, Christian Scott, and Jonathan Butler.

- Saturday, August 24, 3 - 9 PM, at the Great Plaza at Penn's Landing. Nationally-acclaimed gospel artists include performances by Hezekiah Walker, Kurt Carr, Tye Tribbett, and more.

- Saturday and Sunday, September 7 - 8, at the Great Plaza at Penn's Landing and the Marina at Penn's Landing. The WHYY Connections Festival brings national talent to the Great Plaza. This year, the event runs in conjunction with Coast Day: From the Delaware to the Schuylkill Waterfronts.

- First Fridays and Third Thursdays, June - September, at the Race Street Pier. Exciting performances and concerts curated by FringeArts and a music collective.

- Sundays in June, enjoy a free, all-level yoga class at 9:30AM at the Race Street Pier, taught by instructors from Dhyana Yoga.

- Listings of all DRWC produced and funded events displayed by date in a press-friendly format. Calendars available for , , , , and with detailed descriptions, dates, times, and locations.

- All summer at Festival Pier, the RiverStage at the Great Plaza at Penn's Landing, and the Susquehanna Bank Center. Some highlights for the summer include: The Roots Picnic, Mad Decent Block Party, The Killers, Blake Shelton, Dave Matthews Band, and many more.
