KW-Software and Innominate exhibit together at the SPS/IPC/Drives 2010 in Nuremberg/Germany (hall 7, stand 540)
(PresseBox) - At least since the worldwide alertness about the Stuxnet worm, which has affected tens of thousands of engineering and visualisation PCs and also manipulated the PLCs of actually existing industrial systems, the risks posed by malicious software and a lack of IT security in automation networks can no longer be overlooked.
For this reason, under the motto "Security meets Automation", the Phoenix Contact companies KW-Software and Innominate Security Technologies both present solutions for secure automation together for the first time, for double security. Embedded Safety technology from KW-Software for functional safety is complemented by Embedded Security components from the Innominate mGuard portfolio for industrial network security.
For automation also, virtualisation is a clear trend topic with hardware consolidation of controls, HMIs and safety components on Multicore platforms. Together with the technology partner Wind River, Innominate and KW-Software will demonstrate perspectives of this trend tangibly.
KW-Software presents the most recent developments in scalable software platforms for control programming according to IEC 61131 and innovative technology for fast and cost-effective realisation of Profinet applications, particularly the new Profinet Device Chip TPS-1.
For the first time, Innominate will present its new generation of security appliances to a wider professional audience in Nuremberg with the mGuard Field Line and mGuard Factory Line product lines, as well as the new mGuard Remote Services Portal for simple, secure remote maintenance via the internet.
