in the first quarter of 2013
(Grambach, 14.05.2013) BDI - BioEnergy International AG, a leading
technology supplier and specialised plant manufacturer in the from waste to
value field, has succeeded in the turnaround despite difficult market
conditions: In the first three months of 2013, BDI generated increasing
revenues and positive results. Compared with the first quarter of 2012,
revenues increased by 23.8 per cent from 6.4 million Euros to 7.9 million
Euros. Furthermore the operating result (EBIT) of 0.3 million Euros was
considerably higher (+15.4 per cent).
The cash flow from operating activity also improved substantially and
reached 1.6 million Euros in the first quarter (previous year's period:
-2.0 million Euros). With equity of 51.2 million Euros and an equity ratio
of 68.6 per cent, BDI continues to be in a very good position to carry out
the strategic optimisation of its business operations. In order to
accelerate future growth, BDI is planning to expand the company's core
skills in the green tech field.
The orders on hand are at a good level and form the basis for a profitable
fiscal year 2013. In the first three months, BDI's order backlog increased
slightly to 18.8 million Euros compared to the reference period of last
year. The orders include the RetroFit of a BioDiesel plant in South-East
Europe, public authority engineering services for a Multi-Feedstock
BioDiesel plant and further orders in the fine vacuum distillation segment.
