(firmenpresse) - OTTAWA, ONTARIO -- (Marketwired) -- 05/15/13 -- Canada's Immigration Minister, Jason Kenney, will be in Silicon Valley May 17-20 to meet with entrepreneurs and business leaders and promote Canada's new Start-Up Visa Program - the first of its kind in the world featuring active partnerships with angel investor groups and venture capital firms, and offering unconditional permanent residency up-front.

Minister Kenney will be available for print, radio and television interviews during his trip to talk about Canada's immigration system and how the new Start-Up Visa can be an attractive alternative for current U.S. visa holders and others interested in North American markets who are experiencing difficulties with the U.S. immigration system.

While in Silicon Valley, the Minister will attend the TieCon Entrepreneur's Conference in Santa Clara on Saturday, May 18. He will visit the Citizenship and Immigration Canada booth in the Expo to promote the new Start-Up Visa program and will be available to on-site media throughout the day.
