Molycor Gold Corp. (TSX VENTURE: MOR)(FRANKFURT: M1V)(PINKSHEETS: MLYFF) announced recently that rock chip and outcrop sample assays up to 13% Mg were received from this summer's geological surface mapping and rock sampling program on their Tami-Mosi magnesium property near Ely, Nevada. The findings extend the known magnesium zone to over 4000 metres.
Molycor discovered the high purity magnesium in March of 2008 while drilling gold anomalies on the project. The Tami Mosi magnesium dolomite grades compares well with past producers in North America, Europe and Japan, and Molycor is moving towards development of a preliminary economic assessment to more fully evaluate the economics of the project.
Molycor commissioned a NI 43-101 compliant property evaluation report in 2009 which then showed an inferred resource estimate of 236,183,772 tonnes of 10% Mg, containing more than 50 billion lbs of magnesium.
