The New MINI Paceman

(firmenpresse) - LONDON, UNITED KINGDOM -- (Marketwired) -- 05/17/13 -- Unleash the sports driver in you with the new MINI Paceman. It promises the thrill and excitement on the road of a sports activity coupe with the eye-catching elegance of its smooth lines and sloping roof guaranteed to turn heads on the street. But it also fuses sporty looks and performance with functionality with elevated ground clearance and a spacious, lounge-like interior.

The Paceman range starts from GBP 18,975 and has bite, with the range topping John Cooper Works able to accelerate from 0 to 62mph in 6.9 seconds with a top speed of 140mph. But it's not a petrol-guzzler. In fact, fuel consumption is as low as 64.2 mpg on the combined cycle for the Cooper D.

The sporty engine performance is reflected in the sleek exterior design with its sloping coupe style roof, elongated doors, prominent wedge-shaped glasshouse and muscular front end.

Highly customisable, the MINI Paceman can be personalised to suit the driver with eight body finishes and body coloured or contrast roof in White or Black.

Inside, the car is just as attractive with an elongated ellipse running along the inside of each door. Impress your friends with the lounge-like comfort of the car with individual chairs in both the front and back allowing for space and comfort. There is also 330 litres of storage in the boot, which can be extended to 1,080 litres with the rear seats folded down.

The technology is cutting edge and designed to maximise the driving experience too. The MINI Paceman has the latest generation four-sensor ABS brakes with Cornering Braking Control and Electronic Brakeforce Distribution to provide control, stability and go-kart handling while cornering and braking at high speeds.

There are packages of optional extras available such as the PEPPER Pack including a leather steering wheel, on-board computer and automatic air conditioning, CHILI Pack including a multifunction steering wheel and sport button and MEDIA Pack for those who love gadgets. It contains Radio Visual Boost, Voice Control, MINI Connected, Bluetooth Telephone Audio and MINI Navigation System.
