Pyrolyx-Carbon-Black: Manufacturing Trials Successfully Concluded
Munich/Drunen (Netherlands), May 23, 2013
Pyrolyx AG - the environmental technology company specializing in
sustainable raw materials from end-of-life tires - has successfully
completed quality testing of its first industrial-scale pilot plant in
Drunen in the Netherlands.
Pyrolyx began extensive capacity and quality trials of its purpose-built
plant in Drunen in conjunction with engineering specialists Zeppelin
Systems GmbH in 2012. This first Pilot Plant was developed for the non-stop
production of carbon black.
In the recently concluded tests, Pyrolyx's expectations in terms of
capacity, power management and output were all met - and carbon black of a
consistently high quality was recovered.
What's more, a global tire manufacturer has for the first time produced
test tires from Pyrolyx-Carbon-Black. This represents a key milestone for
the Munich-based company in the further planning and implementation of the
commercial production of Pyrolyx-Carbon-Black for the tire industry.

materials such as carbon black to be made from commercial rubber granules
produced from, for instance, end-of-life tires. Carbon black is used to
