West High Yield Releases First Quarter 2013 Financial Results

("West High Yield" or the "Company") (TSX VENTURE: WHY) announces the release of its financial results and the Management Discussion and Analysis ("MD&A") for the three months ended March 31, 2013. The unaudited interim condensed financial statements and related MD&A for the three months ended March 31, 2013 have been filed with Canadian securities regulatory authorities on SEDAR at .
The Company commissioned SRK Consulting of Lakewood, Colorado ("SRK") to prepare a Preliminary Economic Assessment ("PEA") in respect of the Company's Rossland, British Columbia magnesium property (the "Record Ridge South Property"). Subject to final regulatory approval, the Company expects to release the PEA in May 2013.
