CPA Adds Secure Monthly Bicycle Parking Throughout Downtown Core

The (CPA) has added to help meet the growing demand for bicycle parking in the downtown core. An additional 166 bicycle stalls have been installed and are available for public use. They are located throughout the downtown core in select parkades and surface lots, specifically at:
"With more Calgarians choosing to cycle for their commute downtown, we've increased bicycle parking stalls in our existing parkades," said Troy McLeod, CPA General Manager. "The aim is to enhance mobility for Calgarians and this includes supporting including walking, cycling and transit use."
Each location will be equipped with a bicycle repair stand and tools that customers can use free of charge. The cost to park in a secured bicycle location is $10 per month plus GST. There is also a $25 refundable key fob deposit charge.
No vehicle stalls were removed to accommodate for the bicycle parking expansion. Prior to the expansion, CPA had 70 bicycle stalls in City Centre Parkade and 15 stalls in Centennial Parkade. CPA's total bicycle parking capacity is now 251 stalls.
