San Diego Adaptive Sports Foundation Changes Name to Adaptive Sports & Recreation Association

(firmenpresse) - SAN DIEGO, CA -- (Marketwired) -- 05/30/13 -- San Diego Adaptive Sports Foundation (SDASF), a 501(c)(3) non-profit, has announced it has changed its name to Adaptive Sports & Recreation Association (ASRA). The name change is part of a rebranding effort to highlight the expansion of program initiatives. The nonprofit has revealed a new logo and website to complement the rebranding at .
"Changing our name to Adaptive Sports & Recreation Association more accurately describes how we have evolved over time and who we are today," explains Jon Richards, ASRA Executive Director. "We are expanding our programs to offer more variety in adaptive sports in order to further empower and inspire individuals with disabilities so they will thrive."
Founded in 2006, Adaptive Sports & Recreation Association is a private, 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation established to provide sports and recreational programs to children and adults with disabilities. Today, ASRA reaches more than 250 children and adults with physical disabilities in sports programs including year-round league sports, summer camps, clinics, and one-day events. The organization offers a unique opportunity for children with disabilities to experience positive sports and recreational experiences that will enable them to make friends and grow physically, emotionally and socially as they learn the fundamentals of a number of adaptive sports.
