Fortress Paper Announces Annual General and Special Meeting Voting Results

("Fortress Paper" or the "Corporation") (TSX: FTP) announces that the following five directors were elected at the annual general and special meeting of shareholders of the Corporation held on May 3, 2013 (the "Meeting"):
In addition, at the Meeting shareholders approved: (i) the appointment of PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP, Chartered Accountants as auditors of the Corporation for the ensuing year, (ii) the unallocated stock options under the Corporation's amended and restated stock option plan, and (iii) the adoption of a shareholder rights plan.

Fortress Paper operates internationally in two distinct business segments: dissolving pulp and security paper products. The Corporation operates its dissolving pulp business at the Fortress Specialty Cellulose Mill located in Canada, which is also in the process of expanding into the renewable energy generation sector with the construction of a cogeneration facility.
