For this reason, Varta Storage presents Engion family, a highly efficient battery for storing energy from photovoltaic systems at the Intersolar in Munich from 19 - 21 June 2013, in Hall B5, Booth 180
With Engion family Varta Storage has launched a new type of battery storage system for solar power that includes VARTA Storage patented technological advantages. Herbert Schein, CEO of the VARTA Micro Group, is convinced, that "above all, households and owners of solar systems will benefit from this key technology". Faced with rising electricity prices, homeowners would seek to be largely independent of the public energy supply using photovoltaic rooftop systems.
With the Engion power buffer, the energy generated from the photovoltaic panels can be stored in highly efficient solar battery modules and delivered when required. In this way, the power consumption can raise the average from 20 to 70 percent and even above, which allows the solar system owner to become mostly autonomous from the power supply and pricing of public utilities.
Because of its modular design, the Engion buffer fits exactly to the individual energy consumption and thus of the size of the photovoltaic system. Engion starts with a capacity of 3.7 kWh and can be expanded to a capacity of 13.8 kWh. Engion delivers cutting edge of technology and will continue to drive innovation.
