Macmillan Publishing Group Signs Second Book in 'The Tyrant' Franchise, Also Grabs New 'Maximillian' Novel
(firmenpresse) - LAS VEGAS, NV -- (Marketwired) -- 06/05/13 -- King Midas World Entertainment (KMWE) today announced the development of two new books signed with Tom Doherty and Associates. They include a sequel of "The Seven Sins: The Tyrant Ascending" in the Tyrant™ series by best selling author Jon Land and an all-new untitled novel first in the "Maximillian" series by New York Times bestselling author Susanne Sizemore.
KMWE and Mr. Land reached agreement to write two new books in The Tyrant series, branded as Fabrizio Boccardi's The Tyrant. The brand franchise is in the active stages of development in motion pictures, publishing, comics, branding, interactive media, and gaming.
"I couldn't be more excited about writing a second Tyrant novel. In my mind, Tyrant has the unique potential to become a new icon in American pop culture," said Land.
KMWE also signed Sizemore to write the first three books in the new "Maximillian" series, labelled as Fabrizio Boccardi's Maximilian. The novel, based on a new character of paranormal action romance, is based on a new and proprietary concept owned by KMWE.
"I find the new concept, which has never been done before, extremely fascinating and unique," said Sizemore. "I joined the project because I clearly see the potential for it to become a media franchise."
KMWE plans to expand Maximilian into comics, films and video games, as it builds its portfolio of branded media properties, following a path modelled by Fabrizio Boccardi with KMWE's first novel in the Tyrant series, "The Seven Sins: The Tyrant Ascending."
