Children Donation Campaign with Winterhilfe Switzerland and globegarden childcare
The nursery Zurich globegarden Friedensgasse supported the Winterhilfe charity with a project(firmenpresse) - Children donation campaign in the nursery globegarden Friedensgasse together with Winterhilfe Switzerland. Making some other child smile, learning to share and developing social behavior is what the pedagogic head and her team want to teach the children.
Not all children have as many toys as there are in the bilingual daycare center globegarden Friedensgasse. Puzzles, construction blocks, books, role play corners, cooking utilities, puppets, teddies and much more what children normally wish for. The pedagogic head of the globegarden kindergarten wishes to teach children that there are – also in this country – many children who are not as lucky and who miss out on many of these toys.
In the globegarden preschool in Zürich a part of the pedagogic program „Discovering the World Step by Step“ is „Our World“. In this curriculum area children learn about our world, the country we live in, our heritage, different nationalities, nature, local communities and neighbors. Among others the subject poverty was discussed in the childcare center Friedensgasse. With the help of a little project the pedagogic team wanted to give children the chance to make other children happy and to help out a little.
The project was set up as a children donation campaign together with Winterhilfe Switzerland and globegarden childcare. Every child in the nursery donated a book for a child in need. 40 wonderfully colored picture books were brought to the canton’s donation place of the Winterhilfe Switzerland. These children’s books will bring a lot of joy to many children in need.

The pedagogic program „Discovering the world step by step“ is at the core of what the childcare centers do every day. Starting from 3 months onwards children are cared for and nourished every day until the age of 7 years. Crawling along with other babies, turning for the first time, taking the first steps, looking at how the older children do it? All this is what children experience every day at globegarden nurseries.
Language is furthermore a big topic in the bilingual preschool globegarden. The children learn their first English words or childrens‘ songs in a playful manner and without pressure. We welcome children from age 3 months to 7 years at childcare Zürich globegarden Friedensgasse and care for them from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. or in a shorter time model.
