(LifePR) - Wolgan Valley Resort & Spa has been awarded the Commitment to Excellence Award at the prestigious Leading Hotels of the World Awards.
Presented in Tokyo at the 2010 Annual Convention of The Leading Hotels of the World, the awards recognise hotels with a commitment to sustainability, community outreach and cultural support.
As Australia`s first conservation-based luxury resort, Wolgan Valley Resort & Spa won the Commitment to Excellence Award, as well as the Environment category, for its innovation and dedication to sustainable practices; and for the active protection, regeneration and conservation programs for the wildlife and flora in its surrounding locale. "It is a tremendous honour just over one year after opening, to be recognised for our commitment to protect Wolgan Valley; a destination that is one of the most naturally beautiful and unique locations in the world," said Joost Heymeijer, general manager, Wolgan Valley Resort & Spa.

Since its opening in October 2009, the protel customer has been awarded an impressing list of international accolades.
