(firmenpresse) - BOSTON, MA -- (Marketwired) -- 06/07/13 -- The New Ireland Fund, Inc. (NYSE: IRL) (the "Fund") held its Annual Meeting of Stockholders on Tuesday, June 4th, 2013.
The only proposal before the meeting was for the re-election of Mr. David Dempsey as a director of the Fund. The proposal was carried by a substantial majority. Mr. Denis Kelleher did not stand for re-election. The Board thanks Mr. Kelleher, who served as a Director from 1991 until June 4, 2013, for his wonderful service over the years and for his excellent and very helpful contributions to the Fund.
