Palo GPU now available in the Cloud
High-Performance Computing for Business Intelligence in the Amazon Cloud
(PresseBox) - The high performance version of the Commercial Open Source Business Intelligence solution Palo GPU is now is available in the Amazon Cloud. Palo GPU Accelerator supports GPU Instances made available in Amazon cloud infrastructure as of November 2010.
Users of the Palo Commercial Open Source Business Intelligence solution now have the opportunity to use the Palo GPU Accelerator, which is based on Nvidia Tesla GPU, either on their own hardware or in the Amazon Cloud.
"With Amazon now offering Nvidia Tesla Fermi M2050 GPUs, the user has the possibility to fully experience Palo GPU Technology with their own Data Model. We are pleased to see that GPUs are now offered in the Cloud. This shows that we have reached a major milestone for future developments with the GPU Technology. Palo OLAP Accelerator with Palo GPU technology was published with version 3.2 of the Palo Suite in late October 2010 and is available on www.jedox.com.
The Palo GPU Technology was developed in cooperation with the ?Deutsche Forschungsgesellschaft? and the Albert Ludwig University in Freiburg, Germany. Palo GPU Technology is funded by the German Ministry for Economy and Technique, based on a Agreement by the German Bundestag.
