Frank Gotthardt Honored with Lifetime Achievement Award
Koblenz, June 17th, 2013: Frank Gotthardt, the CEO of CompuGroup Medical
AG, was awarded the honorary dfg Award for Lifetime Achievement. With
this prize, the jury acknowledges the visionary buildup of one of the
world's leading eHealth-companies. The award was presented on June 13th,
2013 in Hamburg as part of the dfg Awards 2013 in the presence of 200
guests, decision-makers and public health professionals.
'I am very excited that CGM AG's performance and my contribution as founder
and CEO have been acknowledged. However, our work is by no means finished.
My aim is to make high-quality health care available for everyone at any
time. In the coming years, I would also like to invest my full energy in
helping to shape the healthcare sector through entrepreneurial freedom,'
said Frank Gotthardt. The laudatory speech was given by Dr. Norbert Klusen,
the former CEO of Germany's Techniker Krankenkasse and last year's winner
of the honorary dfg Award.
The dfg Award has been awarded since 2009. Decision makers from the
healthcare sector submitted their suggestions for six categories in advance
and a seven person jury then determined the nominees. Readers of the
publications, dfg - Dienst für Gesellschaftspolitik and A+S aktuell -
Ambulant und Stationär aktuell, both of which are published by the Berliner
MC.B GmbH, submitted their votes for the nominees.
The award in the category for 'Outstanding Innovation in Patient Care' was
awarded by CGM AG. The award went to NOVITAS BKK of Duisburg and MDK
Nordrhein of Düsseldorf for the unique nationwide project entitled
'Children's Case Management: Better Care for Critically Ill Children.'
