Two Senior Waste Specialists Join SLR Consulting
(firmenpresse) - VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA -- (Marketwired) -- 06/24/13 -- Senior Waste Specialists Ben Arnold and Mark Sungaila have joined SLR Consulting's Canadian Solid Waste Management business. Ben Arnold, Chartered Waste Manager and long-standing consultant to the waste and resource management industry, has joined as the Waste Business Sector Director for Canada. Mark Sungaila, Professional Engineer, has joined as a Principal Consultant and the Technical Discipline Manager for Waste Engineering.

About Ben Arnold
Ben is leading the development of SLR's Solid Waste Management business in Canada and is working closely with SLR technical teams around the globe. He will also lead the development of SLR's Canadian Solid Waste Planning and Permitting services.
Ben has over 30 years of experience in the Solid Waste and Minerals business sectors with extensive experience managing teams of waste management professionals, including planners, permitting specialists, engineers, environmental scientists, auditors and surveyors. His technical expertise includes feasibility assessments, managing Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA) and obtaining regulatory approvals for waste and recycling infrastructure. He is knowledgeable in due diligence deliverables for mergers and acquisitions in the waste and mineral sectors and has acted as expert witness at Public Inquiries for private sector industry clients.
About Mark Sungaila
Mark is working with SLR's other senior Waste practitioners to further build SLR's Waste Engineering capabilities in Canada. He will also support SLR's growing Land Quality and Mining Sector services.
Mark has over 26 years of experience in municipal, industrial, and hazardous waste management as well as assessment and remediation of contaminated industrial sites and mining waste management. He has spent the majority of his career working on the design, operations, and closure of facilities for management of municipal, industrial, and hazardous waste. In addition to this experience, Mark has also provided expert testimony at regulatory hearings, and prepared and delivered technology and project management training programs.
