New members on the Supervisory Board of KARSTADT Warenhaus GmbH

(PresseBox) - Two new members have joined the Supervisory Board of KARSTADT Warenhaus GmbH at its meeting today. Christian Gries, CEO of Gries Deco Company GmbH and Doris Schröder-Köpf, a journalist, now represent the employers on the Board. At the same time Dr Martin Müller and Friedrich-Wilhelm Schlich stepped down.
With the accession of Doris Schröder-Köpf, the proportion of women in the Supervisory Board of KARSTADT Warenhaus GmbH increased to 40 percent. This makes KARSTADT one of the big companies in Germany with the highest percentage of women on the Board of Directors.
The Chairman of the Supervisory Board, Alain Caparros, said: "With Christian Gries and Doris Schröder-Köpf, the Supervisory Board of KARSTADT is completed by two personalities, who, based on their knowledge and experience, bring important additional perspectives to the company's business. My thanks go to Dr Martin Müller and Friedrich-Wilhelm Schlich for their work and commitment to KARSTADT in a challenging transitional period."
