Media Advisory/Photo Opportunity: Cataraqui Clippers U12 Girls Celebrate Being Named BMO Team of the Week

(firmenpresse) - KINGSTON, ONTARIO -- (Marketwired) -- 06/26/13 -- BMO invites members of the media and the city of Kingston to the BMO Bank of Montreal Cataraqui Centre branch on Friday, June 28th at 4:30 p.m. ET to celebrate the Cataraqui Clippers U12 Girls' selection as BMO Team of the Week.
The team is now eligible to vie for the title of 2013 BMO Team of the Week Champion and a grand prize of $125,000 from BMO, which would be used by the team to refurbish their soccer field in Kingston.
At the celebration on Friday, BMO will award the Cataraqui Clippers U12 Girls with BMO Team of the Week tracksuits and a $500 prize. BMO will also donate $500 on behalf of the team to Coast to Coast Against Cancer, the team's chosen charity. The community celebration will also serve to rally fans, residents, family and friends to vote for the Cataraqui Clippers when Canadians are asked to choose the most deserving team from amongst the BMO Team of the Week finalists.
For the next five weeks - just as it has for the past ten weeks - BMO will select a Team of the Week winner to represent their cities and towns and vie for the national title of 2013 BMO Team of the Week Champion. The 2013 BMO Team of the Week Champion will be chosen by the Canadian public, who will vote between August 5-19 online at BMOsoccer.com to decide which team they feel most exemplified the spirit of the award by exhibiting team pride, team spirit, community commitment and passion for the game.
The 2013 BMO Team of the Week Champion will claim the grand prize of $125,000 towards team facility refurbishments, a trip to see an MLS or Canadian National team home match of their choice, and an additional $5,000 for the charity of its choice.

BMO Team of the Week is Canada's premier sport celebration at the grassroots level, engaging a nation and inspiring communities by recognizing youth soccer teams who demonstrate team pride, team spirit, community commitment and passion for the game. Fifteen weekly winners will be named BMO Team of the Week starting April 17, and entered for a chance to be voted by Canadians as BMO Team of the Week 2013 Champion. The grand prize includes a $125,000 refurbishment of their community soccer field and a road trip to a Toronto FC, Vancouver Whitecaps FC, Montreal Impact FC, or Canadian National Team home game. Former BMO Team of the Week Champions include Glen Shields Sun Devils 2000 (2011) and Ladner Storm (2012).
