Haldane McCall Plc Provides Company Update and Announces Half-Year Results
Douglas, Isle of Man, 1. July 2013 - Haldane McCall PLC (Stuttgart: WKN A1J3U8, HMK1), a European company that invests in emerging markets in Africa, is pleased to provide the company update and announce its half-year results.
After the German Federal Financial Supervisory Authority (BaFin) approved the prospectus last week, the company now intends to immediately apply for a listing on the Entry Standard of the Frankfurt Stock Exchange. The listing on the Berlin Stock Exchange has already been applied for.
The company has also been making remarkable progress consistent with its growth strategy.
Real Estate
The Company has begun the construction of 12 luxury apartments and 30 middle class apartments. These will be ready by December 2013, most of the units are already being bought off plan.
The construction of 1,000 low costs housing units in Lagos is 40 % completed, with 75% presold off plan.
The company will soon be updating its investors with pictures showing stages of the various construction projects using social networking tools.
Hotel
An accommodation contract with a Nigerian airline was concluded which led to a 90% occupancy of the Suru express hotels.
Bank
The Company has hired a new Marketing Manager to support the management and to further generate new business in the micro finance sector.
In General
The Company will publish its half-year results on 16. July 2013.
Already the first quarter in 2013 was closed successfully by the company.
- The turnover in the 1st quarter in 2013 amounted to 6,818 million euros.
- The profit after tax amounted to 1,512 million euros.
- The short-term liabilities are lower in comparison to the 1st quarter in 2012 by about 70%.
- The whole liabilities are lower in comparison to the 1st quarter in 2012 by about 22%.
- The net assets have increased in comparison to the 1st quarter in 2012 by 7.43% and is 81,837 million euros, and corresponds to 1.43 euro per share.
