Changes in the Management Board of Celesio AG
- Markus Pinger dismissed as Chief Executive Officer
- Dr Marion Helmes spokesperson of the Board with immediate effect
Stuttgart, 3 July 2013 - In a meeting of the Celesio Supervisory Board
today Markus Pinger (50) has been dismissed as Chief Executive Officer and
Member of the Management Board of the Celesio AG with immediate effect. The
separation is due to different opinions of the management of the company.
Dr Marion Helmes (47) will take over provisionally the function as
spokesperson of the Management Board of the Celesio AG in addition to her
function as Chief Financial Officer.
'The Celesio Supervisory Board would like to thank Markus Pinger for his
work in the Management Board', says Stephan Gemkow, Chairman of the
Supervisory Board. 'Dr Helmes has contributed decisively to the chosen path
of the realignment of the group. The Supervisory Board is looking forward
to working together with Mrs. Helmes in her extended responsibilities.'
