2014 Cardiff Kook Run Announces Early Entry Discounted Prices for July
(firmenpresse) - ENCINITAS, CA -- (Marketwired) -- 07/03/13 -- The fun and scenic Cardiff Kook Run will celebrate its third year on Feb. 2, 2014. In appreciation of previous event supporters, the 2011 inaugural registration price is reinstated now through July 31. Runners and walkers can register at a discounted price during this early entry period. Entrants can choose to participate in the 10K or 5K Fun Run/Walk.
Prices for early registration are available at $39 for the 10K, and $29 for the 5K Fun Run/Walk. This year, the cost for the event will increase as the event nears.
The third annual Cardiff Kook Run takes runners on a scenic loop overlooking some of California's greatest surf break views including Moonlight Beach, Swami's, Pipes and the famous Cardiff Kook along the 101 freeway and Cardiff State Beach. The race is designed to be a fun family event and encourages runners to embrace the kookiness by participating in its costume contest and enjoying special events after the race.
Working with the community nonprofit organization, Cardiff 101 Main Street, the Cardiff Kook Run donates proceeds to maintain the "Kook" and the park.
Packet pick-up is available Feb. 1, noon to 7 p.m. at Road Runner Sports, 5617 Paseo Del Norte #100, Carlsbad, Calif. The morning of the race, packet pick-up, race registration and costume contest registration begins at 7:30 a.m. in the Moonlight Beach parking lot. The race begins at 8 a.m. followed by the awards ceremony at 11 a.m.
