Oberkirch, July 8, 2013 - Progress-Werk Oberkirch AG was awarded the Bosch
Global Supplier Award 2011/2012 by its customer Robert Bosch GmbH. The
theme of the awards ceremony on July 4, 2013 was: 'Innovations - The
driving force for competitiveness'. A total of 38 suppliers from nine
countries received awards in five categories. PWO received the award for
the fourth time.
The award recognizes the exceptional performance of PWO in the production
and delivery of mechanical components, particularly of deep-drawn housings
for electric engines made out of sheet steel. As the world market leader
for these components, PWO produces more than 120 million such products
annually for automotive applications.
Karl M. Schmidhuber, Chief Executive Officer of PWO, is proud of this
award: 'Housings for electric engines have been an essential element of our
product range for many years. We possess the fastest production process in
this area worldwide. Through our high innovative strength we continuously
