Rock Energy Inc. Announces Appointment of Board Director
(firmenpresse) - CALGARY, ALBERTA -- (Marketwired) -- 07/08/13 -- Rock Energy Inc. ("Rock") (TSX: RE) is pleased to announce that effective July 8, 2013, Mr. Robert Maitland has been appointed to the Board of Directors of Rock Energy, and will serve as the Chairman of the Audit Committee.
Robert is a Chartered Accountant with over 35 years' experience primarily in the oil and gas industry, he has graduated from the Institute of Corporate Directors having completed the Director's Education Program, and holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Calgary. He currently serves on the board of directors of Perpetual Energy Ltd. and GasFrac Energy Services Inc., where he serves as the Chairman of the Audit Committee. Prior to his Board positions, he held various Vice President, Finance and Administration and Chief Financial Officer roles, most recently with Fairborne Energy Ltd. and Fairquest Energy Limited.
In conjunction with Mr. Maitland's appointment, Mr. James Wilson is leaving his position as Board Director effective June 30, 2013, to pursue other interests. The Board of Directors and Management of Rock wish to thank Mr. Wilson for his contribution and commitment to Rock over the years and wish him all the best in his future endeavors.
