LEDs in Chill and Cold stores: High Efficiency - Low Energy - Bright Lighting

Reducing CO2 year on year

(PresseBox) - Way Forward Technologies (German Distributor: Engelking Elektronik GmbH) have been designing and manufacturing quality LED arrays and lighting solutions since 2007. They identified that Chill and Cold stores are ideally suited for their tried and tested LED arrays because of their unique characteristics of striking immediately, having improved light output and producing very little heat whilst lasting for well over 50,000hrs.
To take advantage of instant - on, full brightness, they have developed Europe?s only ultra low temperature occupancy sensor that can detect forklifts and personnel. This LED switching regime can push energy and CO2 savings to over 85% compared to conventional Cold Store Lighting.
Over 1 million LED?s in operation in the UK and the USA - with no known failures to date.
The photos show a cold store aisle at Total Food Service Solutions Ltd where they replaced fluorescents with their D-LED product. The client was delighted with the results, which improved the lighting level and quality whilst helping them reduce their Carbon Footprint and energy bills.
Way Forward Technologies have recently won a fully Carbon Trust funded project for their High output F-LED high bay SON replacement that will save the client in excess of £49,000 and 400 Tonnes CO2 per year.
